The touch screen works beautifully in many instances, but I don’t understand why it can’t be made to work for ALL instances where the user wishes to see an enlargement.
Even for different news pages, the touch screen works for some, but not for others. What I would like to see is uniformity and consistency in the way text sizing is handled.
This is an extremely frustrating problem for those of us who are using laptops with small screens. Sometimes the font is so small that it is utterly ridiculous – like about a 2 point!
As I type this reply, the font size is only about a 4 point! However, in this case, it does respond to the enlarge gesture of my touch screen – which is very good. I can make the text any size that looks comfortable to me. Why shouldn’t it be made to work in all instances?

Note that you can only change the font, but not its size. Also beware that some dialogs may not adjust their sizes according to the font, so depending on the font you choose you may end up messing up with the appearance of the dialogs.
From my experience, Tahoma seems to work well. I think the problem is because the default system font size 9 is too small for MS Sans Serif. In Windows 10 the default system font seems to have been changed to Segoe UI, but some control panel dialogs still use the above settings for their fonts.

I tried experimenting with Custom Scaling in the Control Panel in Appearance and Personalization, however I still couldn’t increase the text size in my Apps.

I would suggest you to perform SFC scan and check if that helps. It is a utility in Windows that allows users to scan for corruptions in Windows system files and restore corrupted files. Refer the link: Use the System File Checker tool to repair missing or corrupted system files. Please reply us with these information and the current status of your computer we will be happy to assist you further. I wish we can find a solution for this issue and not just drop it. It really takes away a lot of functionality in windows 10 for certain configuration of hardware.
As I wrote before, managed to fix the font size and is clearly readable, but now I can’t snap to apps in tablet mode because the content seems to be “too big”, probably because of my display characteristics.
Switching to different User Accounts did not change the outcome. Text size in certain apps remain small or get smaller after setting change. I don’t think this has anything to do with my upgrade from Windows 7 to It may be a bug within the personalization settings. If I were to open Facebook in a web browser such as firefox the text size matches the settings I have made, whereas the App doesn’t match.
The problem occurs when for some Apps don’t sync up after increasing the display scale. Threats include any threat of suicide, violence, or harm to another. Any content of an adult theme or inappropriate to a community web site. Any image, link, or discussion of nudity. Any behavior that is insulting, rude, vulgar, desecrating, or showing disrespect.

The Facebook app certainly did something to break things when under these “special” settings. Nevertheless, the app is actually not supposed to know or really care how large the system fonts are.
I have a Surface 3, and when running Windows 10 in Tablet mode, the 8. When not in Tablet mode, they are smaller font again. All other tablets that I have upgraded have the small font issue whether in Tablet or non Tablet mode.
